The web shop on this website is software by Fareharbor (external link), a company owned by Booking holdings (external link). I use this software to manage bookings and payments. To put it simply, I utilize the software of another company, Fareharbor, to process the bookings and payments made on this website. Fareharbor is collecting data (external link) by using this website and web shop through the use of cookies (internal link). I, A Frank Idea, can not access the data generated by the cookies. If you do not like to use cookies (internal link), you can block cookies (internal link) in your browser.
When you make a booking, customer data is stored by Fareharbor. I will receive the booking information per email and as well I can access this information through an online dashboard in a web browser and in a smartphone app. A customer from the European Union under the GDPR (external link) or a customer from California under the CCPA (external link) has the right to examine, extract, correct, delete and limit processing of her, his or their personal data. Stripe (external link), which is a financial services company, processes the payments on our web shop. Please see more information the terms of service (external link) and privacy policy (external link) of Stripe.
My webshop only collects the personal data of customers that are necessary to carry out the service and the booking, and to ensure safety during the activity. I will never use the data that I generate through selling my activities for marketing or other promotional efforts, and neither will I ever sell your data to other organizations and companies.
I will never use pictures of customers taken during services of activities for promotional efforts for this web shop.
I use unencrypted email as primary medium for communication. Please acknowledge that unencrypted email communication is not considered secure. I store emails on a server I rent at Orange Website (external link) in Iceland. I delete emails shortly after an activity has been conducted. I do not put trackers in emails (external link). In case you prefer a more secure method to communicate, I encourage to communicate via signal messenger (external link). Please mail me to set up a signal call.
In case my website, computer or telephone, or the booking software of Fareharbor I utilize, will be breached, a notification shall be put on this webpage. In that case I shall provide a description of potential consequences and possible measures to be taken to cope with the data breach.
I apply best practices to ensure the safety of my digital infrastructure. I mostly use open source software (external link); I use Fedora (external link) linux as OS on my desktop computer and Apple iOS on my smartphone. I update my devices and my websites regularly. The server on which the websites, emails, internal storage cloud and calendar (external link) is hosted by Orange Website (external link) in Iceland (external link). This website was made with wordpress.org (external link) code. I use a plugin by Wordfence security. (External link). The website uses Astra wordpress theme. (External link).
